Slate Coasters and photo slates

The blue tit is perhaps the most recognisable visitor to our Cumbrian gardens bringing its babies up to eat seeds, insects, caterpillars and nuts. This lovely photo of a baby blue tit has been printed onto one of our slate coasters and measures 9.5 cm square - it comes boxed and with rubber feet for the reverse.

This lovely brown wood owl is found in parts of South East Asia so not native to Cumbria but can be found at Muncaster Castle and various other owl and birds of prey centres. The Goldfinch is usually found in areas such as farmland, weedy roadsides , railway lands, gardens and parks. Its diet consists of small seeds such as those from thistles and cornflowers and insects but regularly visits bird feeders.

Buttermere has some of the best views in Britain being overlooked by towering fells and having a 4 km low level walk around it making it easy to enjoy the Lake District views from every angle. The red squirrel is an original species native to Great Britain and rely on broadleaf and conifer woodland to survive. They feed on nuts, seeds, tree shoots and other plant matter and are struggling to survive due to the invasion of grey squirrels and the spread of squirrel pox. They can be seen in various locations around the Lake District.

Robin red breast slate coaster, known simply as the robin or robin redbreast in Great Britain, is a small insectivorous passerine bird that belongs to the chat subfamily of the Old World flycatcher family

Fairly common bird of prey often seen in Lakeland gardens easily identified by their yellow legs and orange/yellow eyes. They measure 28-38 cm with the female being larger than the male. This Lake District Cat Bells Fell Coaster and photo slate shows the fell in the English Lake District in the county of Cumbria. It has a height of 451 metres (1,480 ft) and is one of the most popular fells in the area.

Old Man of Coniston slate coaster, this a fell in the Furness Fells in the English Lake District and the highest point of the traditional County Palatine of Lancashire. It is at least 2,632.61 feet high, and lies to the west of the village of Coniston and the lake, Coniston Water.
