Baby blue tit slate coaster

The blue tit is perhaps the most recognisable visitor to our Cumbrian gardens bringing its babies up to eat seeds, insects, caterpillars and nuts. This lovely photo of a baby blue tit has been printed onto one of our slate coasters and measures 9.5 cm square - it comes boxed and with rubber feet for the reverse.

Brown wood Owl slate coaster

This lovely brown wood owl is found in parts of South East Asia so not native to Cumbria but can be found at Muncaster Castle and various other owl and birds of prey centres. The slate coaster measures 9.5 cm square with roughened edges to absorb the colours - it comes boxed and with rubber feet to place upon the back.

The Goldfinch is usually found in areas such as farmland, weedy roadsides , railway lands, gardens and parks. Its diet consists of small seeds such as those from thistles and cornflowers and insects but regularly visits bird feeders.

The red squirrel is an original species native to Great Britain and rely on broadleaf and conifer woodland to survive. They feed on nuts, seeds, tree shoots and other plant matter and are struggling to survive due to the invasion of grey squirrels and the spread of squirrel pox.
